What is inertia? Explain how differences in inertia would affect the acceleration of an object. What is torque? How would you define torque? (formulas and explanation) How would the amount of force required to move the object change if the force were directed at the center of the object instead of the edge? What is Newton's 2nd law related to the sum of forces?
Adi S.
Torque is the analog of force and moment of inertia is the analog of mass. Force and mass are physical quantities that depend on only one factor. For example, mass is related solely to the numbers of atoms of various types in an object. Are torque and moment of inertia similarly simple?

Computing torque Answer the following questions about torque. Let $\mathbf{r}=O P=\mathbf{i}+\mathbf{j}+\mathbf{k} .$ A force $\mathbf{F}=\langle 20,0,0\rangle$ is applied at P. Find the torque about $O$ that is produced.
