a. Estimate the energy of the electrons that we need to use in an electron microscope to resolve a separation of 0.27 nm.
b. A beam of 2 eV protons is incident upon a crystal, producing an interference pattern. The fifth maximum of the intensity is observed at an angle of 30°. Use Bragg's relation, λ = (2d/n) sin(θ), to determine the planar separation of atoms within the crystal.
