2. Consider the data in the malathion.data data set. Two otherwise identical fields of oat plants were planted, one was left to grow otherwise undisturbed (control), while the other was sprayed with the pesticide malathion (treatment). Researchers harvested oat stems from each of the fields and for each of the stems recorded the count of cereal leaf beetle (Oulema melanopus) larvae present on the stem. Use a \( 95 \% \) confidence bound to answer the question, "Do the data suggest that the field sprayed with malathion has a lower average number of cereal leaf beetle larvae per stem?" (I know we've plotted and summarized this data in \( \mathbf{R} \) before in class, but we never computed any confidence intervals with it, and I know y'all have been just dying to do something more with this data set.)
