Series/Parallel Resistors: [8 points] This is another exercise (like the problem on the last homework) in solving for voltages and currents using the series and parallel resistor formulas, the idea of equivalent resistance and "working backwards".
In the circuit above, Vs = 10V, R1 = 3kΩ, R2 = 9kΩ, R3 = 6kΩ, R4 = 3kΩ.
a) Find the equivalent resistance of the resistor network and the total current delivered by the source.
b) Find the voltage drop across each resistor in the circuit.
c) Find the current through each resistor.
d) Find the total power dissipated by all the resistors together in this circuit. (Note there is a computationally easy and a hard way to calculate this).
