In each of the following pairs of hydrocarbons, which one would you expect to have the higher boiling point? a. pentane or heptane b. propane or cyclopropane c. hexane or 2 -methylpentane

Propylamine (bp $48^{\circ} \mathrm{C}$ ), ethylmethylamine (bp $37^{\circ} \mathrm{C}$ ), and trimethylamine (bp $3^{\circ} \mathrm{C}$ ) are constitutional isomers with the molecular formula $\mathrm{C}_{3} \mathrm{H}_{9} \mathrm{N}$. Account for the fact that trimethylamine has the lowest boiling point of the three and propylamine has the highest.
