Assessment Plan Explain how you could determine by means of either IR or 'H NMR spectroscopy if each of your reaction steps was successful. Describe at least one specific peak (or set of peaks) that would be present in the product but not the starting material(s) or vice versa. For example, if your reaction was the nitration of benzene to give nitrobenzene, you might say, "The product would have two large peaks at 1350 cm-1 and 1550 cm-1 in its IR spectrum that wouldn't be present in the starting material." Again, provide this assessment for each step of your reaction steps. (Use an additional page if necessary for your answers).
