Question 3: (25 p.) Under steady-state conditions a) Find the unknown currents I1, I2 and I3 in the multi-loop circuit as shown in figure. b) What is the charge on the capacitor?
Abid H.
In the circuit shown below, the capacitor is uncharged at time t = 0. If the switch is then closed, find the currents i1 and i2, and the charge on the capacitor at time t greater than zero. [HINT: Write KVL for 2 loops...loop #1 is battery + 10 Ω resistor + capacitor. Loop #2 is battery + 10 Ω resistor + 40 Ω resistor]. Obtain 2 equations for 2 unknowns (i1, i2). Combine to generate single equation for say i1, and then solve by Laplace Transforms]
Madhur L.
Consider the circuit shown in the figure on the right. Both capacitors are uncharged, and the switch is closed at time t = 0. Find the currents i1, i2, i3 at t = 0, immediately after the switch is closed. 5 A, 2.5 A, 2.5 A 4 A, 2 A, 2 A 10/3 A, 10/3 A, 0 0, 0, 0 20/3 A, 10/3 A, 10/3 A
