per hour and an angle of 40 degrees above the horizontal. The ball
lands on a platform 1 m above the ground. Assume that the height at
which the ball was thrown was 7 m above the ground. Also assume
that the Y-direction is vertical and up is positive y and the
horizontal direction towards the platform is positive. You may take
the height of the ground to be y=0 and the person who threw the
rock to be at x=0.
1). Sketch the y (i.e.
vertical) position, y velocity, and y acceleration plots vs. time
on the three separate axes below. (please explain why so I
have a better understanding)
2). How much time elapsed between when the ball
left the person's hand to when it hit the
platform?
