the bat and I'm gonna say a ball was a so B. For bad, A fur ball Costs a $10. The bat costs a dollar more then the ball. Okay, so now I'm going to plug this in for B. So I have one plus A plus a equals a dollar 10, So one plus 2 a equals A dollar 10. And then I have, I'm going to subtract one from both sides, so I have two a equals 0.10, divide by two, and I have a equals five cents. Okay, so the ball is five cents. I wonder where you can get a ball for five cents. Now. I don't think you can get a ball anywhere for five cents, which means that the bat is 1, 10 minus five cents is $1.05 is the soap. The bat is $1. 5 cents in. The ball is five cents. This is a middle school math teacher signing out.

Absolute Value - Example 1

In mathematics, the absolute value or modulus |x| of a real number x is its numerical value without regard to its sign. The absolute value of a number may be thought of as its distance from zero along a number line; this interpretation is analogous to the distance function assigned to a real number in the real number system. For example, the absolute value of ?4 is 4, and the absolute value of 4 is 4, both without regard to sign.
