mass M. The coefficient of static friction between the two
blocks is μs and that of kinetic friction

(a) Find the maximum force F you can apply
to M so that the two masses move together (m does not
topple off).
(b) What is their acceleration?
(c) If you apply double the force what are the accelerations
of m and M respectively once
block m is moving relative to block M? Assume the
bottom block M slides frictionless on the horizontal
table.
