The income elasticity of demand with a value between zero and one indicates that the demand is ________. income inelastic for a normal good for an inferior good income elastic for a normal good income inelastic for an inferior good
Prabhat T.
Income effects depend on the income elasticity of demand for each good that you buy. If one of the goods you buy has a negative income elasticity, that is, it is an inferior good, what must be true of the income elasticity of the other good you buy?
If demand for a good is perfectly inelastic, then the demand curve is vertical. the demand curve is horizontal. the own price elasticity of demand is infinite in absolute value. a small increase in price will lead to a situation where none of the good is purchased.
