A heat engine works with an ideal diatomic gas in the following
cycle:
1. adiabatic expansion from state 1 to state 2.
2. isothermal compression from state 2 to state 3.
3. pressure increase at constant volume from state 3 back to
initial state 1.
Given are: p1 = 10 bar, p2 = 6.9 bar, T2 = 300 K, V2 =
2.8 dm^3
a) Sketch the cyclic process in a pV-diagram and indicate the
different p, V, T values, the direction of the
process and the useful work.
b) Calculate the individual amounts of heat and work for each
process.
c) Calculate the efficiency of the engine.
