A preliminary oil well drilling program has been completed for a new well. The production string is of OD = 5 inches set at a depth of 12,000 ft. A production string program detailing the applicable casing depth, casing OD, hole size, and mud weight has been proposed (see below).
Using the API Casing Data Sheet (in Blackboard), and safety factors (burst = 1.1, collapse = 1.2, tension = 1.7), select appropriate:
A) Casing weight and grade for the Surface casing
B) Casing weight and grade for the Production casing
