A school psychologist would like to examine the effects of physical activity on ADHD symptoms in a male
student population. A sample of 40 subjects is obtained. Group 1 (n=20) is the treatment group, which
receives 10 minutes of physical activity for every hour instruction. Group 2 (n=20) is the control group and
does not receive the special activity. All participants ADHD symptoms are rated via the CRS-R, an ADHD
diagnostic rating scale, both before and after the semester long treatment program. The amount change in
ADHD symptoms (post – pre) is calculated for each individual. Does the treatment group show a significant
decrease in ADHD symptoms than the control group? Test at the .05 level
