Calculate reaction order Rate = k[MnO4]x [H2C204]y
Reaction rate is the time when potassium permanganate disappears. Find the rate for each step of the concentration change experiment: Ratea = [concentration MnO4-, M/L] / [Elapsed time, sec]. Do rates (a)-(d) for each of the concentrations of oxalic acid. Find the ratio of Rates: For a & b, Rateb/Ratea; Rate KIMnO4-Ix [H2C2O4]y. Magnesium permanganate does not change, so it cancels out (same value for each particular reaction). Calculate the order of reaction for each ratio of rates.
