So in a regular body, we're gonna have a curve that basically looks like this, where it really just caps out really rather quickly, and that's all right because if our body is bringing in a lot of oxygen, we have pretty high pressure, then once it gets onto the tissues, which is about here, it still doesn't look like a big decrease because i drew it poorly but it's still enough to deliver oxygen down in our two our tissues but now imagine you're an environment where it's right here where you have a lot lower pressure of oxygen on the outside and so that decrease is extremely small to the point that it would it's insufficient in delivering it to your to yourselves so what we do is with this binding of this two three by phosphoglycerate it actually moves the curve more like this.
