Well, you classified me as employed, but I want to work more hours. I only work 20 hours a week at the fax repair shop, but I would like to work 40 hours. My manager says that for economic reasons, she does not need me for more than 20 hours. I know the BLS counts me as employed, but from an economic perspective, is there any other category I fit into? Yes, you are also considered to be a marginally detached worker. Yes, you are also considered to be a discouraged worker. Yes, you are also considered to be an involuntary part-time worker.
