Let's talk about electronics fundamentals.

And so there's a few things that we should definitely highlight here.

But let's start with just a general overview.

So electronics is going to be essentially it's a part of physics and engineering.

And it is the study and application of devices and circuits that use electrons so so electricity is the flow of electrons and they use this flow of electrons to manipulate and control and create electrical signals and just energy in general so so some components that we should talk about.

And of course, there's a lot of other things.

Let's also talk about wires, switches.

And then while we're at it, let's mention ac and dc currents.

So let's just draw out the symbols for these.

So a resistor is shown like this.

A capacitor is shown like this.

Inductors are usually like this.

Diodes are usually this kind of arrow with a stop kind of like the pause play on the remotes and then we have wires are the line so you could see at the ends of each one of these they're wires so the resistor is on a wire the capacitor is on the wire and switches are usually like this so this is an off switch and if it's an on switch well then it's there's not going to be a break here right so it'll be like this connected and there's a lot of other components because these are basically uh the main ones especially in the beginning that you'd have to deal with so ac and dc current so this is going to be an alternating current and the first one is going to be a direct current so the difference is that alternating currents constantly change directions and they have fixed frequencies whereas dc currents flow in one consistent direction and they have electrical charge that flows from a positive to a negative terminal.

So dc such as a battery for example is going to be shown like this and this is the positive side and then an ac current is going to be shown like this.
