According to theory, neither object would be subject to deformation, and all the available kinetic energy before and after the collision would be conserved. Did this actually happen, or was some kinetic energy lost to the envi-ronment? Discuss at least two phenomena (other than friction) which indicated that energy was transformed and then dissipated into the environment.
