So we're looking at different combinations of corks that we can have, and we're only considering upcorks, down corks, and strange corks, and also their anti -cork counterparts.

So if we look at some of the properties of these, these three are the upcork, let's see, how should we group these? the charge of an upcork is going to be two -thirds.

The charge of a down cork is going to be negative one -third, and then the charge of a strange cork is also going to be negative one -third, and then likewise the charge of the anti -cork counterparts are going to be opposite of this.

And a couple of things to remember about corks is the, you know, the baryon number for a combination of quark is like one -third, the number of quarks minus the number of anti -quarks and the strangeness number is the number of anti -stranged quarks minus the number of strange corks seems kind of bizarre to say that i suppose but and i think that's all we need and of course the charge the total charge is the sum of these three so the first part in part a we're looking at a combination where the charge is equal to plus e or plus one the barion number is zero and the strangeness number is plus one and we need to figure out what combination of up down strange and their anti -cork counterparts creates that for us so the barrier number is zero which tells us we have the same number of quarks as anti -quarks and so we have an even number of quarks in total and we have a strangeness of plus one which tells us we have basically one more strange cork than an anti -strange cork.

And so we really just need one anti -strange cork to do this, right, because that gives us our plus one.

And what is the charge of an anti -strange cork? it's plus one -third, right? it's the opposite of this charge.

So really, if we just pair an up -cork, which has a charge of plus two -thirds, with an anti -strange cork, which has a charge of one -third, we'll get our desired charge.

Our barrier number works because we have one cork, one anti -cork, and this so the answer for this would be something like this part b asks now let's see what do we have we have a charge of plus e a barion number of negative one and a strangeness number of plus one okay so the barion number of negative one here tells us that we have potentially three antichorks or at the very least we have three times as many antichorcs we do quarks and the charge being positive tells us that we're you know if we're going to have three times as many of antichorks as corks we're going to need basically like one of these upcourt or potentially three of these basically three down three a combination of quarks and strange corks basically because if we have three of those in total that'll give us our desire charge and we need to charge a plus e so remember and you know maybe to make things a little bit simpler the charge of an anti upcork is negative two -thirds this will just make it a little bit easier to recall some of these things this is plus one -third this is also plus one -third so notice if we have you know basically two of these and one of these or two of these or something we'll get our desired charge and also we'll get our desired baryon number because these are all antichorks if we have three of them in total we have a negative one value and we only need one anti -strange quark here so if we have an anti -strange cork and then we pair that with two anti -down corks you'll notice that that's actually going to give us all the desired outcomes that we want um so that would be our solution to this the last one we have a neutral cork um or neutral barion and we've got a barion number of plus one and a strangeness number of minus two...
