BEE4632 MAINTENANCE TECHNOLOGY GROUP PROJECT: CMMS PROJECT
Guidelines:
1. Create your own group that consists of a maximum of 4 students.
2. Install any CMMS software (MaintainX, Cworks, etc.).
3. Explore the software and key in data for 8 equipment. Some of the data should represent:
i. MTTR of 2 of the equipment
a. 4 hrs of 3 times failures within 1 month (equip #1)
b. 2 hrs of 4 times failures within 1 month (equip #2)
ii. MTBF of another 2 equipment
a. 215 hrs over 3 run times between failures (equip #3)
b. 170 hrs over 5 run times between failures (equip #4 - motor pump)
iii. Based on RCA done for the repeating failure of equip #4, the physical cause was ball bearing jammed, root cause was ball bearing insertion without using proper tools, and the latent cause was management ignorance of expert advice.
4. Generate a minimum of 4 reports (including MTBF and MTTR report) from the Report module.
5. Write a report about CMMS, how productivity and competitiveness can be increased by using CMMS, how the data was developed in order to fulfill 3i-ii, what can be understood from the reports that are generated, and list down CITED references.
