00:01 Alright in this problem we have to select all the expressions that are equivalent to negative two fifths being multiplied by fifteen minus twenty d plus five c.
00:12 Now this is the distributive property and what that means is that we multiply this negative two fifths times every term inside of the parentheses.
00:20 So when we do that there is a convenient method.
00:23 Now when we multiply by a fraction what that means is we're going to divide by the bottom number and we're going to multiply by the top number.
00:30 So if i do fifteen divided by five that gives me three.
00:33 Three times two is going to be six so with the negative as well it's going to be negative six.
00:39 Negative six and then our next term will be twenty divided by five is four.
00:45 Four times two is eight and then the negative times negative is going to be plus.
00:49 So we'll have plus eight d and then finally we have five divided by five is one.
00:55 One times two is two and then our positive times negative is going to be minus.
01:00 So we'll have minus two c.
01:02 So that's what we have after we distribute.
01:06 After we distribute let me get rid of that right there.
01:09 There we go.
01:09 So we'll have minus two c right there.
01:13 So we have negative six plus eight d minus two c and that's going to be equivalent to the first expression.
01:20 That's obviously what we got.
01:21 And then we have negative two c plus eight d minus six is going to be the same...
