How would you explain CBCT (Cone Beam Computer Tomography) to a patient? When/why would a dentist use this type of imaging? How is different to other forms of imaging?
Jennifer S.
Dr. Cynthia Knott's dentistry practice has been cleaning customers' teeth for decades. The process for basic dental cleaning is relatively straightforward: the patient checks in (4 minutes), a lab technician takes and develops X-rays (10 minutes), and the dentist examines the X-rays (10 minutes) while the hygienist cleans the teeth (16 minutes). The dentist then meets with the patient to discuss any issues, explain the X-ray results, and advise the patient to floss regularly (5 minutes). After the customer pays and books their next appointment (6 minutes), an average of three patients enter Knott's dentistry every hour.
