00:08 But when asked to describe the structure of a typical atom, we need to focus on where the protons are, the neutrons are, and where the electrons are.
00:20 The protons and the neutrons are both going to be found in a really small nucleus in comparison to the size of the total atom.
00:29 So i'm going to draw really small, and this is going to represent the nucleus, and inside of that nucleus we will have all of our protons and all of our neutrons.
00:39 Neutrons are not charged, protons are positively charged, so the charge of the nucleus will be positive.
00:49 Inside of that nucleus, we also have essentially all of the mass of the atom.
