During conversations with his therapist, hall makes comments revealing vast mood swings, unstable relationships, and impulsivity.
00:09
Which of these personality disorders would he have? avoidant? borderline, paranoid, or dependent.
00:16
So, are 10 personality disorders, and they're split into three clusters.
00:21
So cluster a are the eccentrics.
00:27
Cluster b are the emotional or the unstable.
00:32
Cluster c are the fearful or the anxious.
00:40
So we can quite easily answer this by looking at which cluster these are in.
00:46
So let's start with cluster a, the eccentrics.
00:48
So these are paranoid, schizoid, and schyptychytopal.
00:54
So paranoid comes under this, and paranoid is defined by the paranoia.
01:03
So it's a lot of difficulty trusting others.
01:07
It's suspecting people of having ill intent, kind of always being on the lookout, trying to work out how people are trying to hurt you, and even to a point of paranoid delusions without any other symptoms of psychosis.
01:21
So, suspicious of us.
01:26
So this can absolutely cause problems in interpersonal relationships, but it's not what all is displaying.
01:35
So that's the eccentric.
01:36
Let's jump down to plus a sea.
01:38
Fearful and anxious.
01:40
There's three of these.
01:40
As well.
01:41
And we've got two of them here.
01:42
The avoidance and the dependent.
01:44
The third one is obsessive compulsive, personality disorder.
01:49
So it's not that.
01:51
It's not one of these either.
01:53
So dependent is a cluster c disorder and it's defined by an inability to be independent.
02:01
As the name suggests, it's people who cannot make decisions on their own and they need somebody else to back the so always checking with other people if their behaviour is okay, if their decisions are okay.
02:15
And that kind of dependence on another person is harmful to their life.
02:21
So unable to make decisions because they're checking with other people if they're okay.
02:32
And avoidant is extremely socially anxious, extremely anxious in general, of failure, and they tend to avoid most situations...
