consider the ways in which your own attitudes and ideas have been formed. Who and what have influenced your development the most? What religious or cultural beliefs do you hold as important that may differ from others? Finally, when have you experienced cognitive dissonance? Share any cognitive errors or biases that you recognize now that you might like to change.

Answer Both points separately How has examining your beliefs, assumptions, and values related to your historical and current events impacted how you process information in your daily life? For example, consider claims made by politicians, news headlines, tweets by celebrities, or articles shared by your family on social media. What changes, big or small, have occurred in how you apply historical inquiry skills to classes, your personal life, and/or your career?

In Session 2, Respecting Cultural Diversity, you were asked to write a two-page letter to yourself describing your attitudes toward child rearing and child guidance. You were also asked to describe your personal values, beliefs and cultural practices and how these influence your attitude. You were then asked to save that letter for a later date. Take a few minutes to read what you wrote then before continuing. Now it's time for you to write another letter to yourself. In it, think about what you have learned throughout this course. In this letter, describe: Your attitude towards child rearing and child guidance. (How should children be brought up and raised?) Your experience during the previous 17 sessions and whether or not the course information has influenced your attitude or practices with children. (What have you learned?) What considerations influenced the change, if any? (Which sessions have had the most impact?) How will you apply what you have learned about cultural diversity in your practices when working with young children?
