Theme: Design Process and Analysis of Mechanical Engineering Systems In the design process of any mechanical engineering system, kinematic and dynamic analyses are essential. For the kinematic analysis, one has to identify the mechanism/mechanisms inside to transfer the motion, finding out the link positions, velocities, and accelerations. Dynamic forces are calculated based on the material used to construct the mechanism, link lengths, shape, and acceleration. These dynamic forces cause mechanical vibrations, and these vibrations are properly transferred to the ground by carrying out vibration analysis. You are instructed to investigate and analyze the various mechanisms mentioned in each task and prepare a design report for the same. Task 1: Dump Truck Mechanism Figure 1: Dump Truck a) Generate the kinematic diagram of the loading and unloading mechanism. b) Conduct design synthesis on the mechanism. c) Generate dimensions for the mechanism and plot the space diagram. d) Find the linear velocity and angular velocity of the links by the instant center method. e) Determine the dynamic forces acting on the mechanism. f) Analyze how changes in the dimensions of the links will affect the performance of the mechanism.
