So what kind of reaction is this? this is a wittig reaction.

Okay, and so the way this works is that with the first two reagents, what we generate is the so -called wittig reagent from our bromine, and basically all we've got to do is redraw the substrate, but where we used to have a single bond to bromine, we'll have a double bond to phosphorus, which has three phenyl rings sticking off.
