Exercise: You are to determine the maximum flow ($m^3/s$) the pump will generate for
pumping water from the lake to the truck by using a 50-mm-diameter pipe of inner
diameter 50 mm .The pipe is made of galvanized iron and its total length is 50 m. The
pump performance curve is available from the manufacturer and shown in the figure
below. State all your assumptions and show your work clearly. In your analysis, do not
forget to include the minor loses due to elbows. Show the operating point on the pump
performance graph shown.
