There is a force pushing vertically down on an inclined plane as shown in the Figure. There are also two angles given: B and Y. Check the location of the angles for the following calculations.
Calculate both Normal and Tangential Force in terms of:
5.1: Assume an object of m=20 [kg] and an angle p=102, what is the (a) Normal Force? (b) Tangential Force?
5.2: Assume the same object and an angle of v=708, what is the (a) Normal Force? (b) Tangential Force?
Here the indices "tangential" and "normal" refer to the direction with respect to the inclined plane.
5.3: At what angle Θ is the normal force (a) half of the tangential force? (b) equal to the tangential force? Give the values in degrees and radians.
