Problem #4 Find Thevenin and Norton equivalent ($V_{th}$, $R_{th}$, and $I_{Norton}$) of a Harmonically Excited circuit containing both dependent and independent sources, shown on Figure 4. Note: You must find $I_{Norton}$ using short circuit method as part of the problem.

9. Thevenin and Norton Theorem Objective: To demonstrate and experimentally verify Norton and Thevenin theorems. Prelab: Refer to Figure 1 1. Use Thevenin and Norton theorems and write general equations of the circuit in Figure 1. 2. Calculate Voc, Isc, and Rth. Procedure: 1. Construct the circuit in Figure 1 and measure voltage Voc using Thevenin technique between node 1 and 0. Remove RL and measure Isc (short circuit) current between node 1 and 0. 2. Replace the voltage source with a short circuit. Remove RL and measure the resistance between node 1 and 0 of Figure 1 3. Construct the circuit in Figure 2. Connect RL across the output and measure the voltage across the resistance. Computer Simulations: Verify each calculated and experimental value using SPICE. Analysis: Compare the simulated, calculated, and experimental values obtained. Discuss possible sources of error. **All unknown values will be provided by the instructor**
