The thrust F (MLT2) of a propeller is a function of its diameter D (L), angular velocity ω (T-1), forward speed V (LT-1), density Ï (ML-3), and viscosity μ (ML-1T-1).
Determine the following:
(a) The number of π (pi) groups (use the number of variables and dimensions MLT)
(b) Solve for only one π group of your choice.
(c) State at least one reason for the usefulness of dimensionless parameters such as Reynolds number in fluid mechanics.
