Conduct a test (without the controller) using open-loop configuration or closed-loop configuration.
Give an example of what the output will be if we input something.
Find the percent overshoot, settling time, peak time, and steady-state error. Then improve the value of the percent overshoot, settling time, peak time, and steady-state error to get a better value than what we got above.
Design a controller using one of the following techniques: state feedback and state observer, LQR, modern control system, or integral control (using hand calculation). Then test the design to see if it's working fine or not.
