So from a group of 30 people, we have to choose 10 people for a verse sport team and we want to find how many different ways can we choose a group of his many people. So the first step is to realize that we have to solve this problem using permutations, and the reason for that is because, with permutations would deal with events where we can't have repetitions, and so when we pick people for the team, we somehow can't pick the same Person more than 1, so with permutations, we use the formula n factorial, divided by n minus r factorial, to give us the number of desired outcomes. Where n is equal to the total number of people we can pick from. So that's 30. In our case, our denominator is still n: minus r, where n is 30 and r is how many people we want. So that's 10 point. So if we simplify, this is equal to 30 factorial divided by 30. Minus 10 is 20, so tat's, 20 factorial, and so that's gonna, be quite a large number. So from my calculator and scientific notation, this is 1.09 times 10 to the 14 point. So this large number is how many different ways that from 30 people we can choose 10 for a very sports teminal answer.
