This is actually kind of fun for me, and i did see this in a certain curriculum that they talked about a function as a vending machine.

And it's kind of the perfect analogy because you can imagine a vending machine.

It doesn't actually matter what it can be candy, you know, or you have a giant screen in here, and you have all these buttons.

Well, the buttons that you have off to the side would be your inputs.

So if you hit button one, what you would expect to happen is only one item would come out.

And so where it becomes a function, if the vending machine functions properly, is if every time you hit that first button, the same candy comes out...
