HOMEWORK 1
A single-phase 60Hz generator supplies an inductive load of "A" kW at a power factor of "B" lagging by means of a "C" km long overhead transmission line. The line resistance and inductance are 0.0915 ohm and 0.60 mH per km. The voltage at the receiving end is required to be constant at 10.2 kV. Calculate:
(a) Sending end voltage
(b) Voltage regulation of the line
(c) New Sending end voltage if the regulation is reduced to 60% of that obtained in part (b).
