cos(x - y) - cos x / -y = cos x * (cos y - 1 / -y) + sin x * (sin y / -y)
Write the right side of the identity as one fraction with the same denominator -y. Rewrite the numerator and the denominator separately. Distribute the terms of the numerator. Do not apply any trigonometric identities yet.
