The purpose of this task requires you to demonstrate that you can engage children in a creative language experience and use and expand on children's ideas in relation to creativity. It also requires you to demonstrate that you can: • understand the concept of creative freedom and its positive connection to development and learning • identify the connection between creativity and different learning dispositions • identify opportunities that nurture creativity, based on children's interests and cultural backgrounds Preparation: 1.Prepare 3 'Questions Without Answers' that you can ask the children. -List your three 'questions without answers' - ensure that the questions relate to things the children are familiar with or have knowledge of. 2.Select one 'just-imagine' game to play with the children. Describe your 'just-imagine' game 3. Where will you present this experience? •Questions without answers are open ended questions e.g. What might happen if it always rained on Saturdays? Where would you go if you were a cloud? What might happen if dogs could talk? • Just -imagine games - encourage children to retrieve information, compare and contrast. They encourage them to make connections e.g. If you could be any animal what would you choose? If your socks were magic, what would you be able to do? If we all lived underwater what would your house be like? How would you move around? •Identify a quiet area away from distractions.
