What is the difference between masculine and feminine cultures?

Girls have been socialized to "do what boys can do" but still experience discrimination and marginalization in the adult gendered world. What happens when they go out into the workplace? Then, consider the case of boys - can they "do what girls can do"? 2. Almost all cultures construct gender patterns that enforce the dichotomous gender system, and they do this by requiring "body work." Discuss TWO specific examples of the ways in which societies require a man and a woman to work on their bodies (i.e., one body project for each gender). What do these goals imply about the status of men and women in our society? 3. Identify and explain the three ways in which "hooking up" is gendered. How has technology influenced the hookup culture? What is the connection between the hookup culture and the epidemic of sexual assault on college campuses?
