How to calculate how much diamide to add to one culture to make the final concentration 1 mM in 10 mL. The given information is that the stock solution is 1 M. I think it is a dilution problem but unsure if to use C1V1 = C2V2. Please help.

Suppose you have stock solution with a solute concentration of 80 mM. If you wanted to dilute this solution to make a total of 10 ml of a 20 mM solution, what volume of stock _______ and what volume of water ________ would you use? Give your answer in ml, and show your calculations. Volume of stock ______ ml Volume of water _______ ml C1 = the concentration of the standard or stock solution that will be diluted. V1 = the volume of the stock needed to make the dilution C2 = the final concentration of the dilution being made V2 = the final total volume of the dilution

I need to prepare a 100 mL stock solution at 1 mM stock concentration of an acid that is 197.2 g/mol. From this 1 mM stock concentration I need to make 10X dilution and 100X dilutions using a final volume of 50 mL. Help with these calculations would be appreciated.
