i am sick with this question can anyone help me?
1. (Adopted from previous exam question) A collimated blue laser beam (f = 667 THz, modelled by a plane wave)
15.9 kW/m2. The wave has a phase of 0 at time t = 0 at the origin.
(a) What is the wavelength, wavenumber, and wave vector of the plane wave (inside glass)? (b) What is the E-field strength (Eo) and polarization of this plane wave?
This wave now encounters a glass-air boundary at x = 0. (Glass at x < 0, air at x > 0.) (c) What are the reflection and the transmission coefficients? (d) Write the total electric field, in time-domain, inside the glass medium (please leave {Eo, w, ka} as variables) (e) Write the magnetic field phasor inside the air medium (please substitute in and evaluate the numerical values as much as possible). (f) If instead, the glass-air boundary is at y = 0, what angle will the transmitted beam make with the surface normal?
