00:13 So i'm going to write that down here.

00:17 So we know that a correlation is essentially an association between two different variables.

00:26 Correlation is an association between two variables.

00:36 Now, there are two types of correlations.

00:43 So we have positive correlations and then we have negative correlations.

00:54 So in a positive correlation, as our variable number one increases, our variable number two will also increase.

01:04 So for simplicity, i'll just call our two variables, variable a and variable b.

01:08 So when you have a positive correlation, both of those variables, increase as one another increases as well.

01:15 So i want to write that down here.

01:17 Variable a increases as variable b also increases.

01:27 And i'll just write that little arrow to symbolize an increase.

01:29 So what this would look like on a graph is exactly like this.

01:36 So if we had variable b and variable a here, that's exactly what it would look like.
