In class, I showed you the Hagen-Poiseuille equation, an analytical expression for the pressure drop for laminar flow (Re < 2300) conditions through a horizontal pipe of constant diameter: 128 μL AP TT.
A similar approach can be made using the Blasius equation for a special case of turbulent flow conditions (4000 < Re < 100000) to get the following expression for the pressure drop through a smooth horizontal pipe of constant diameter:

Using Excel, prepare a chart that compares the pressure drop (Pa) versus volumetric flow rate (cm^3/s) profiles for both laminar and turbulent flow of water at 5°C through a smooth pipe (internal diameter = 1 cm) that is 15 m in length.
Notes:
- The x-axis scale should be logarithmic with values from 1 to 1000 cm/s.
- The y-axis scale should be logarithmic with values from 100 to 10000000 Pa.
