In the long preamble to the laws, Hammurabi lists all of his accomplishments, which fall into three groups. They are bridge-building, poetry-writing, legal codification, invention of agriculture, abolition of hunting and gathering, building of cities, conquest of Egypt, temple building, establishment of the Amorite dynasty, honoring the gods, military victories, creation of wealth.
