Hello students, in this question we've been asked where were the race, ethnicity, gender discussed in your family as you were growing up or and in how or what ways it were discussed? so how that is expressed through the behavior and attitude and of belief.
00:34
So race, ethnicity, and gender if i have to say about in my family it wasn't discussed per se but rather it was followed by copying the elders of the family.
00:54
So being an indian that is how race, ethnicity, and gender was passed on from one generation to the next by the young ones following the actions of the elders in their family.
01:09
It is less discussed but more but more commonly practiced that is how what kind of dresses are to be worn or what specific gender will wear a certain kind of dress or certain way of behavior or will have a certain way of lifestyle.
01:42
So that was predetermined in most family.
01:49
In most family those traditions are predetermined and that is what is followed for more than years and for more generations.
02:00
So are there cultural differences between you and your members of the other race? there could be based on their family background.
02:17
Every family has certain own traditions of their own, their own cultural beliefs that can vary within a given race or ethnicity.
02:31
So if i have to say being a hindu, we have a lot of variety of god.
02:40
So being a part of hindu, let's say my house worships a certain god.
02:50
So my next door neighbor of neighbor who is also hindu would worship another god and would follow another tradition based on their beliefs...
