INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOUR PEER-REVIEWED PAPER
For this assignment, you will pick a topic in Psychology that you are interested in to learn more about it in depth. You will need to find and use at least one journal (peer reviewed) articles for your paper; the research needs to be from 2015 or later to ensure the most current findings, etc.
The paper will be 2-4 pages in length, appropriately referenced throughout (I come from APA, but most of you have probably had MLA style from College Comp). The more important aspect, here, is to make sure you have your in-text citations when you are referencing information from the articles and to make sure this is clear compared to your own thoughts and ideas, as well as the full article referencing information at the end of your paper (you can look at the references at the end of your articles for how to format references in APA style).
Part of what you will do is to provide a summary of the research from the article in the area you chose, what was studied, what was learned, what was still in need for further investigation. Then you will give your opinion on the outcomes, such as do the results make sense to you, what was gained by the research in the articles that your read.
1. The topic you choose and the articles you choose need to be approved before you can begin your work. If you don't get approval to 'go ahead', you will end up with a zero for the paper.
2. There will be a submission area for all the approvals in the 'Paper' under Course Tools/ ‘Assignments’ (see below). My replies/comments/approvals will be returned to you through the folder as well. This is not graded.
3. There will be a second submission area for you to place your final paper. When you do submit that, please make sure that you are submitting the version that you intend to (e.g., your final copy).
4. Please make sure that you use the submission areas for all the above- I will not reply/approve through Course Messages or email (you can ask any needed questions, however, through Course Messages if you are having problems or need additional info about the assignment.)
