IP Fragmentation - 6 points
Consider a router sending an IPv4 packet with a 7000-byte payload on an interface with an MTU of 1500 bytes. Suppose that the value of the Identification header field in the original packet is 25. Assume that there are no IP options. Fragment this packet and, using the table below, fill in the fragmentation-related header fields for each fragment. You may not need all rows. (Calculation steps are required)
Fragment | Total Length | Identification | Fragment Offset | Frag Flag
0 | 1500 | 25 | 0 | 1
1 | 1500 | 25 | 185 | 1
2 | 1500 | 25 | 370 | 1
3 | 1500 | 25 | 555 | 1
4 | 1500 | 25 | 740 | 1
5 | 1500 | 25 | 925 | 1
6 | 1000 | 25 | 1110 | 0
