This is a really nice question.
00:01
I'm thinking about why is it important to think about how a disease presents and how a patient actually perceives the disease.
00:09
And specifically thinking about diagnosis and treatment.
00:12
So i just have a quick little diagram here thinking about something that might be presenting in two different ways.
00:18
So let's just say somebody has some kind of brain disorder or a neuromuscular disorder.
00:25
And in one person, they present itself with headaches, right? and another person that presents itself at the neuromuscular junction, something like a motor tick or a motor problem, maybe not being able to do a certain sport or something.
00:38
Well, in that case, the perception to the person is actually really important in terms of the diagnosis, right? so if this person thinks of it as something that prevents them from, you know, like playing the guitar, right, that's a lot different than somebody who has stabilitating pain and, you know, can't work...
