Lina is diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. While taking Lina's vital observations, you as a nurse note the yellowing of the sclera of her eyes and the skin on her hands and arms. Lina also mentions that she has been experiencing increasing fatigue, despite reducing her workload, unexplained weight loss of 8 kg in the last two months, appetite loss, nausea, and unexplained abdominal pain in her upper abdomen. She has a history of Type 2 diabetes, diagnosed at age 52, and takes 1g of metformin twice daily. She smokes 5-10 cigarettes daily since her early 20s and drinks two glasses of red wine every night. Denise elicits drug use. All immunizations are up to date, including COVID. She is physically active every day, other than employment-related activities. Her mother died from breast cancer four years ago, and her father is alive and well. She has two older brothers, both of whom are well.
