Hi, everyone.
00:01
So for this question, we're going to be talking about the different stages of sleep.
00:05
And okay, so here i'm going to go ahead and draw a kind of graph of what the different stages of sleep might look like.
00:13
Imagine the green line is the line where we're above it.
00:17
We're conscious, we're awake.
00:19
And when we're below, we're unconscious, we're asleep.
00:22
So right when we get to bed, we might be a little bit above the line.
00:26
Then as we go to sleep, and after we fall asleep, we move underneath the line and fall.
00:30
To deeper and deeper sleep.
00:33
And then after we've hit the deepest sleep, we come back up shortly, very close to being conscious for rem sleep.
00:40
And then we come back down again as we repeat the stages and so on, so forth, until we get ever decreasing deptness of sleep.
00:53
It only repeats a couple of times until we come back out of it.
00:57
And these different stages can also be represented as their own stages.
01:03
So this could be stage one, stage two, stage three, stage four, and so on.
01:13
So these four could be subdivided even further.
01:17
So it could be stage one here, stage two here, stage three here, and then here's our deepest sleep in stage four...
